From Porthcawl To Swiss Cottage.

Went to attend an open day today, but that got messed up, so instead bummed around. I was inspired by the pub I was in to write, so I wrote ”Ye Olde Swiss Cottage.”

After the funeral that I chose not to attend, my mum wanted to go back to the cremetorium to see the coffin and the wreaths one last time, but when she arrived and saw the coffin, it was only her wreath that remained. “The other people”, no longer considered as family in my mind, have taken theirs away.

There was probably an offer on giving them half their money back if they returned them on the same day.

Even though this is my personal blog, and I should be able to express my own opinions, I wouldn’t want to incriminate myself by writing about “the other people”, because up until the point where I blocked them on facebook, they stalked me on there, following my comments and conversations and saving my pictures in a file, then phoning up my mum telling her that they think that I may be a lesbian and I use the F-Word too much. I’m NOT gay, but even if I were, what kind of way is it to “come out” like that?! She had absolutely no right. It would just be humiliating. But WHO would ring someone up and say that?! Totally ridiculous behaviour for an over-the-hill, cold-hearted, evil, old woman.

Twat.

But I’m not bitter…

The Cast List Is Up.

Guess what my lovelies.

Yep, I got the part of the old woman. Screamin’.

My teacher told me that I was never an “Emma” or a “Lucy” and they had to find a main part for me, but if I wanted, I can be a chorus girl.

This may sound to you, as you are reading it, just the normal speech of someone who is being sympathetic. But nope, it was said really quickly and almost spat at me.

But why would she let me audition and give me false hope?! So no, I told her that she can give the old lady to someone else, because I’m fed up of that stupid role after 4 years. 4 YEARS! Give me a chance at something else, for the love of God.

Obviously, I cannot possibly hold anything against the girls who got the roles because they whole-heartedly are amazing. Kath has a voice of pure gold, despite being 15, and Charl gets the chance to prove that she can play more of a stronger role and portray her versatility.

That makes one of us, I suppose.

But on the bright side, look at it this way, even if I did get a main role, it isn’t going to look fabulous on my UCAS Personal Statement because it’s all been written before. But to say that I have written and performed a play of my own creation isn’t something that you see everyday. I know it seems like I’m being arrogant, but I have to be, otherwise I just feel gutted. So, I’m going to entirely immerse myself in this play and be one of the prostitute chorus girls. My mum told me that we can get some vodka on the go, and make some well good memories of my last show, and on the last night, me and the girls totally ad-lib a scene for about five minutes, completely random and improvised. That should be ace, so I’m excited for that.

So much less stress and so much more fun =]

Eurgh, that time of the year again as we all battle it out for the main roles in the school show. Excellent.

Brilliant news that my best girl, Jess, got Stage Manager for it =]

Dead proud.

But I swear to God, if I get landed with the old lady part again this year, I am going to go absolutely ballistic. No joke.

I think the initial cast list will be up tomorrow. I’m not looking forward to seeing it. Eeshk.

Rehearsals for the play are coming along swimmingly, though. So look on the bright side.

Oh, and my mum’s dad died the other day. She was a bit upset, which was lame. I’m not attending his funeral. It’d be oh, so hypocritical.

Cause.Affect.

Everything is sort of happening so fast. I wrote that play, entitled it “Cause.Affect” (that’ll probably change) and as I entered the office at 10 o’clock yesterday morning, to sort out the dates for the play, I left at half 10, safe in the knowledge that I had just helped the Porthcawl Comp Press Officer write an article for the Glamorgan Gazette, the South Wales Echo, the Porthcawl GEM and the Seaside News. Phwoar.

I’ve already had two production meetings on costume and set-design along with a rehearsal with the actors. I couldn’t be happier with the cast, they are true workers and I really feel that this whole production is going to be great. Hopefully. Maybe. Perhaps.

It’s really happening.

Oh, and a few of my blog pages are going to be used in the school newspaper. But I’ve had to modify a few of them.

General Monday Night Business.

Today in school, we had a “forum” meeting. Literally people speaking to the sixth form people who had a free lesson last lesson today. It was 3 men who are ex-heroin addicts each telling us each others stories. It was amazing to hear their stories, but if I am honest, the constant mention of Jesus slightly ruined their stories because they kept trying to get us interested in the Church that helped them. I would’ve loved to have taken out my notebook and made notes on their stories as ideas for plays, but I think that would’ve been a bit weird.

Talking of plays, I have a meeting with my headmaster on Wednesday about the venue for my play. Make sure I double check my uniform before going in. School is okay, if not somewhat boring.

I watched “The Notebook” earlier. I was a complete mess at the end. So I wrote “Describe The Undescribable”. Might I recommend listening to Debussy’s “Clair De Lune” whilst reading. It’s the music I wrote it to.

Reading Festival

I’ve just returned from Reading Music Festival and realised that I havent written in a very long time. It also came to my attention that I have under a week to write the rest of my play…Great. I’m feeling the date December 17th, for some strange reason, as the night of production.

Brief summary of my non-summery summer – Worked pretty much everyday, no sun, made loads of new friends, wrote 3 new songs, going to record them and in talks with my friend Gez about putting them to video and also about making a film. But lets get the play over with first.

Reading was amazing and I’m definately going next year. I’ve decided to take a year out and travel and work and then apply for university, I think, I’m not really sure yet.

I also decided to throw caution to the winds and was in a rather unfortunately brief relationship, but had to end that due to other reasons entirely based not on the relationship itself but for other far to long-winded and personal reasons, it had no reflection at all on Mr Wall.E, because he is a great guy through and through. It lasted aound 2/3 weeks and I havent had a relationship that short since year 5. It only renewed my hatred for relationships, even though me and Mr. Wall.E are still extremely good friends, I’m going to remain wary and an arms-distance from relationships.

My love of music has expanded along with my love of acting and can’t wait to get back into school to get this play rolling.

Hmmm… Just recovering from a cold, hence I haven’t written all that much recently. Still working on my play and now I have to go to sleep and slice my contact lenses out of my eyes before going to bed.

I’ve been planning “Use Your Loaf” for a while now, and finally got round to writing it this evening.

Today I was nominated for Head Girl. I wasn’t expecting it, seeings as my uniform is always atrocious along with my punctuality. This year, things are a bit different. We have to submit a letter of application before our interviews. I didn’t want to put the usual rubbish such as “I think I am worthy of Head Girlship because I am amazing and trustworthy and amazing and loyal and amazing and have good leadership skills and amazing….etc”. I’m not all that bothered at getting it, so I thought on my application, I’d just be normal and “real”. I always like to do things a bit different, me.

Also, anyone considering keeping a blog, no matter where you are – do it. Surely it’d be much more interesting if you are in other countries – Singapore for example…

Christ, texts cost a lot recently in particular to foreign countries, e-mails are cheaper, and you can write more, I find postcards are more personal though. (Subtlety isn’t my forte, Starman).

A few other developments recently, left me well and proper confused. Lead me to write “Cynicism: Masochism?”. Try listening to “Close To Me (LP Version)”, The Cure. I find it sometimes gives me answers.

I’m Genuinely Making Waffles Right Now.

I haven’t written for a while, mainly because there was a fair old amount going through my head and I didn’t really know how to write it down. Instead, I did what I do best and pushed it to one side to think about another time. For sometime I’ve been inspired to write “The Best Laid Plans Of Mice and Men” but haven’t gotton round to actually sitting down, until today in one of my frees when I was excrutiatingly bored. Once I got into it, there was no stopping.

I recommend listening to “Kiss The Rain” by Billy Myers whilst reading.

I’ve quit the show that I was doing “We Will Rock You”. Too much hassle having to travel up to Pontyclun twice a week. Sod that.

Oh, shit, ballet was tonight.

I was too tired to go, I stayed up till one o’clock then couldnt sleep til 2 last night and then had school as normal today. Up at 8.

Little tip: Don’t watch Adam Hill on Comedy Store before going to bed – you will not get to sleep until 2 because you remain laughing at the jokes he told an hour previously. Youtube it. It’s the greatest stand up I’ve ever seen.

So today a german teacher looked down upon my travelling plans. She thus inspired me to write a rather rant-y piece “Spice Up Your Life”.

I’m having my hair done tomorrow.
